Change of venue from 13th October
The AIS Track and Field Centre will be closed for renovations from 7th October.
Club training sessions will be conducted at Lake Burley Griffin Central Basin (near the Carillon) from the 13th October.
Training
The club offers weekly race walking training for its members. Prospective members are able to join a trial session before joining the club.
Where: AIS Track and Field Centre (6 Masterman St, Bruce) (Lake Burley Griffin Central Basin from Term 4, 2026)
When: Mondays (during the school term only) from 5:30pm till approx. 6:00pm
Minimum age: 7+ (Parents of athletes under 12 must stay at the track for the full session). The squad currently comprises athletes ranging from 10 to 50+
Who does this training suit?: Novice up to experienced walkers. Training plans are adjusted to meet the needs of the squad
