LBG Walking Carnival 2025
The LBG Carnival was held on 8 June 2025 at Stromlo Forest Park in Canberra. There were 165 competitors registered across 22 events, with approximately 1/3 competing in two events.​ This included 10 international athletes who travelled from Japan, New Zealand and Kazakhstan.

All events will were run on a certified 1 kilometre circuit on the cycling criterium track. The 5km, 10km, 15km and 35km race walking events were World Rankings Competition events.​​​​​​

Thank you to everyone who helped to plan and then run the event, including extraordinary efforts from the Club's committee who worked tirelessly to deliver a highly successful event - both in the months leading up, and then over the entire event weekend. Most of us were on duty for the entire event including Helen Toyne who was a driving force both on the track and on social media.

- Danielle Sibenaler for her flying in from Queensland to volunteer her extraordinary photography skills through the entire day. There are now 800 photographs on Facebook!

- Ian Colquhoun and Peter Boden for their work as Event Referees
- Alex Dreyer for his amazing commentary throughout the day. It created an incredible atmosphere​
